SA: Seven branches set to quit One Nation, say dissidents

One Nation members are predicting mass resignations in South Australia this week, saying
national director DAVID ETTRIDGE has failed to allay concerns about the party's structure.

Mr ETTRIDGE flew to Adelaide this weekend to quell a grassroots revolt in the party and
respond to concerns about One Nation's draft constitution at a meeting of about 80 members
yesterday.

While predictions of a mass walkout did not come true, some senior members say Mr ETTRIDGE
has not addressed their fears that too much power is vested in the national executive.

They're also predicting up to 75 per cent of the State's members will quit the party,
following yesterday's resignations of State president JOHN POWELL and State secretary PAULA
MAURIELLO.

But Mr ETTRIDGE says it's only a small minority behind the dissent, and he's not worried
about the threat of a mass walkout.
