NSW: Man drives car at patrolling bicycle police

A man will appear in a Sydney court today .. accused of trying to run over two police
officers on bicycles.

Police were called to the car park of a Parramatta hotel in Sydney's west just before
midnight .. after staff noticed people in a car acting suspiciously.

As the two officers cycled towards the silver Lexus .. the car was allegedly driven
at them .. clipping the back wheel of one of the bikes and causing its rider to fall off.

The male constable suffered minor injuries while his colleague was unhurt.

Police searching for the car went to a Rouse Hill home and arrested a 27-year-old man
.. who'll face Parramatta Bail Court today on numerous charges .. including dangerous
driving and assaulting police.
